I need assistance in completing the transfer of my domain and linked email to Squarespace. My account with wordpress is cancelled, but the domain is still in transferring progress on Squarespace. I am not sure how to expedite this and there are no updates via WordPress.

The domain, penandtool.com, belongs to the second username you’re using to post here, penandtool.
That domain was cancelled on 19 August and is now in redemption at our domain provider. This was done at your request when you contacted us via email.
When you cancel a domain you give up ownership, and you cannot transfer a domain that you don’t own.
The domain is currently in redemption with our domain provider. This is a process that lasts for around 80 days, and the domain will only be available for use somewhere else once it is released after this process. However, there is also no guarantee this will happen – during the redemption phase our domain provider can put the domain up for private auction, and if someone else buys the domain during this period they will become the new owner of the domain and you will lose it completely.
To prevent this from happening we need to act quickly. Our domain provider charges a $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption, and as the domain has already expired you’ll also need to pay the $26 renewal fee to get the domain back at this point. Please let me know if you agree to this, and I can get the process started.
If the recovery is unsuccessful, which could happen if someone buys the domain at auction before we can contact our domain provider, your payment will be refunded in full.
