Pending SSL Certificate
-
Hi team,
We’ve just switched our DNS over for paystation.co.nz but can’t get past the SSL certificate that is pending, instead seeing “Sorry, we weren’t able to provision the certificate. Please verify your DNS configuration and try again” (see below):
We’ve confirmed that DNSSEC is off (connected domain) and the Domain is “active”, and that the page loads with a net::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID error, so is pointing to the right place. What can we try next?
Thanks!

Hello @support093cbdae7c, thanks so much for letting us know about this!
Once a domain is connected to WordPress.com using A records, we’re able to issue an SSL certificate for it.
I’ve also gone ahead and issued an SSL certificate for the www version of your domain, which was missing, so it’s now secure as well.
Please let us know if you have any questions or need any extra help, and we’ll be happy to assist you. 🙂 -
Thanks @elcristofue – when I tell the tale of this launch, I’ll claim it was the underscore that did it, but I think it’s infinitely more likely you’ve got us over the line 😂
Cheers!
