People are not receiving my comment responses

  On my blogs “The Sydney Chronicles” and “Jack’s Journal” people leave lots of comments. I always answer those comments but the original people are not notified of my response. How do I fix this? I do not want to have to tell all my followers to make sure they check the box for “receive emails for follow up comments.” Since they are already including their email address when they sign up to comment, it should be an automatic thing for them to receive my reply. Please help me fix this issue.

  Hi there, it’s up to your readers whether they want to receive follow-up comments from your blog. So they need to either check the box to receive emails for follow-up comments, as you mention, or come back to your site to read your response.
