people cannot comment on my blog

Hi, I got notified that when people want to comment, they get something looking like this:
wanted to leave a comment on your sight but when I clicked on the comment I got a page full of this:
??nۈ??9=?(ɶ?X??t>?=??ӱ3ف?PbIb?”???Ά臘?
Can you tell me what is going on that this happens? -

Worked for me. Gotta admit that I had a chuckle with “why is my comment awaiting moderation?” *sigh*

That was after the problem was solved, haha. I moderate with akismet occasionally slipping a comment, you know the ones with the p.n.s enlargements. I had one on the page :-)

But to answer your question, what you posted about does happen on occasion. Chances are they’re using a very old browser that doesn’t understand that web pages can be sent as compressed files. There’s not a whole lot you can do in that case except ask what browser and browser version they’re running.
Either that or they just got a bad load of the page.

Hi Dr Mike. I can not comment. however, if I add a post no problem. and this is just for one blog (everybodycomesfromsomewhere.com) I am the only one, (other members have no problem) and I can add comments in other wordpress blogs. Thanks for your help.

Nico, that’s not a wordpress.com blog so we can’t help you. Please understand that a wordpress blog may not be wordpress.com blogs. This is a hosting company that runs a version of WordPress called WordPress MultiUser.
You either need to contact that site’s admin or raise the issue on http://wordpress.org which is the software support site. Please note that you need to expand greatly on what you’re seeing and why you are unable to leave comments. I’m afraid that you don’t give us or anyone else anythign to go on.
Please note though that some members of Automattic staff would prefer that you do not directly ask your questions to me here in the forums. They have taken offense to that recently.
