some of my friends can’t find me when they search for me, and the settings to allow search engines to index this site is ticked, so why can’t i be found when people search for me

Hi there. I see your site is brand new. It will take several weeks before your site will start showing up in search results.
Every time you create a new post Google and other search engines are pinged so it can index your site, so the more often you post (at least three times a week for a start), the sooner your site will start showing up in search results, so for now focus on creating good quality original content. You can also register your site with Google Webmaster Tools (if you have a gmail account) to help the process along.
