People can’t leave comments unless logged into WordPress.

    I was just wondering how people who do not have a WordPress can leave a comment on my site? At the moment – no matter what way I configuer “Reading” on my dashboard, people need to to be logged in. Can anyone help? I raised this a few days ago, but don’t appear to have had much luck.

    I’m going to take a guess and say you have a need to check out the settings on your General Options page and make an adjustment.
    -> Dashboard -> Options -> General Options
    scroll to
    Membership: ____Users must be registered and logged in to comment
    Remove the check mark
    Click “save options”
    This works for me
    Cheers :)

    I was searching for this checkbox too since it wasn’t under “comments” where I thought it should be…thanks timethief.

    You’re welcome and happy blogging. :)

    Yes, Don’t check this box if you want comments for all.

    for reference:
    -> Dashboard -> Options -> General Options
    scroll to
    Membership: ____Users must be registered and logged in to comment.
    If you remove mark from the ____ above and click “save options” then anyone can leave a comment.

    @seolink
    It’s strange that you’re here giving out advice when your username is linked to a dead blog with this notice on it:

    This blog has been archived or suspended for a violation of our Terms of Service.

    I’m guessing you probably would like to link your username to your new blog. If you would like to edit your forum profile and change the blogsite/website url link here is where to do that. At the very top pf this page on the right hand side click on “View your profile” then click on “edit the information” and when finished click “Update Profile”.
