People can't sign up to follow via email

A friend tried to follow via email and he got the following message:
‘Your subscription did not succeed, try again with a valid email address’
Is there some step I need to take to set up the widget?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There shouldn’t be any extra steps necessary. I don’t see the subscription widget on your sidebar here though:

Did you remove it?
Can you let me know the email address your friend is trying to use?

I did remove it until I could figure it out. I’ll put it back up and let you try to use it. Thanks.

Could you let me know what email address your friend is inputting? Perhaps it’s an issue with their particular email address/provider. Please note, the email address will appear redacted in the forums, but it will be visible to staff.

I did receive the confirmation link sent to my address after I subscribed so everything appears to be working correctly for me. Could you provide the full email address your friend is using to sign-up? Please note, the email address will appear redacted in the forums, but it will be visible to staff.

I hope you’ll understand that I’m hesitant to give out someone else’s email address without permission. Since you’ve been able to complete the signup, I’ll contact him and ask him to try again. If it doesn’t work, I’ll ask if you can have his email address for testing purposes. Also, where do I go to get a list of people following my blog? Thanks.

I hope you’ll understand that I’m hesitant to give out someone else’s email address without permission.
I certainly understand. If you would prefer, you can have him reach out directly to help@wordpress.com. That way, we can work with him directly, and you do not have to share his email address.
Also, where do I go to get a list of people following my blog?
