people don't get my invitation. what can I do?
-
Hello,
I am a teacher and I’ve created a project with a foreigner colleague. We started up a blog on WordPress (its name’s Love actually) and ours students are supposed to connect to the blog to post articles. The problem is that some of my colleague’s students don’t receive the blog’s invitation, and the blog still displays “waiting”. It’s not a question of spam, we checked it. And they’re getting quite frustrated about it.
I don’t know what could be done. Any help?Thank you.
Barbara

If they are gmail users, you might have them check the “social” tab on their inbox. WordPress.com email sometimes ends up there.

Thank you for your message. The thing is that the gmail users got their invitation all right. Other ones, using Hotmail or other providers, didn’t….

If it is not in their Spam or Trash, my only suggestion would be to try inviting them again.
Just out of curiosity, how many emails did you enter into the invitation box? If you entered in more than 10 at a time, that could cause delivery issues.

I didn’t. I sent the invitations one by one, as I thought that sending many at the same time could create problems. But they didn’t get them. I’ll try to do that again, and let you know if it works.

Good call on not doing them as a batch. You should be able to do them in groups of 10 though (if you wish).

Problem fixed!
We followed your advice: we sent invitations again, and this time it worked. It’s still a mistery why, but the most important thing is that now everyone is properly connected.. Thank you!
