People subscibe me without my consent

  When I comment on a blog I almost always click ‘notify me of followup comments via email’. I never click on ‘Notify me of new posts’ yet I seem to be automatically subscribed to certain blogs without opting for it. It is a fairly simple process to unsubsribce but it is annoying and seemingly unneccessary. Can you tell me if this is something I am doing, or is the blogger able to automotically subscribe me when I comment on their post.

  Only you can subscribe yourself. It looks like you currently have 12 blog subscriptions and 336 comment subscriptions; is there a chance you accidentally clicked notify me of new posts on a few occasions? This is the only way that I can think this happend I’m afraid.
