There has been a bunch of searches on my blog using the word bulimia. In responding to that interest I have posted recent articles that deal with that topic. They have the “bulimia” category and today I added the “bulimia” tag. Yet almost all views show up to the oldest post when my desire is to direct them to the newer ones. I don’t know what to do to fix this. Help would be appreciated. My lead article now is one I was hoping to have all of the folks gravitate towards but it ain’t happening! Thanks. Allan

I can’t answer your main question, but I can tell you that categories and tags are exactly the same as far as search engines are concerned: there’s no point in using the same word as both a tag and a category.

“Fix” it? Older posts generally have more SEO juice because they’ve been around longer and had more people link to them. You can’t herd readers around with a stick. I suggest that you pick the word “bulimia” somewhere in that most popular post and make it a link to your category or tag page for “bulimia”.
Also, don’t use both; staff have been known to delete people from the global tag and category pages entirely for doing that (it’s considered spamming).
