Perfect duplicated blog

  Hello WP friends !

  One question : my blog is in french and I want to create a copy in english (as a second blog, not on the same) with same layout, same CSS corrections, same article structure, and so on … I will only translate the texts, manually.

  1. what is the best (and easiest/safest) way to do it ?
  2. as I use the same theme, do I need to repay it ?

  2) if it’s a Pro theme, then yes. Every upgrade or purchase is per blog.

  1) you can actually do this on the same blog if you’re interested, since the two alphabets are the same. Just make all your English posts in the English category and use a Custom Menu to display “Click here for English” or something like that. Otherwise you’re stuck copying manually all the CSS adaptations and doing them again on the new blog.

  So then, creating a base french / english selection menu and using the “copy post” option and categorizing it for each language ?

  I don’t know why you’d use Copy Post. One is in French. You need to rewrite the post in English. Categorize the French posts as French, the English ones as English, use a custom menu to put French and English tabs in your header. Make the site open on a static welcoming page if you like, or for better SEO on the blog page itself.
