Performance and editing response times

    Sure, a 1,000 character post took 5.2 seconds to publish, and a 10,000 character post took 10.8 seconds to publish.

    Adding an image added about a half-second to each case.

    There is a difference in publishing time depending on size, but certainly not near what you’re quoting.

    Unfortunately, I’m unable to reproduce the significant slowness myself, so I really can’t say what’s going on. I suspect it’s something outside of our network.

    I have about five times the response times for both … and it doesn’t matter from where and which browser I use …

    I would really like to hear what others in other locations are getting in terms of response times. I will try this on a Windows machine tomorrow.

    Two of my co-workers have reported similar response times to mine, and we are a distributed company, so that would be three separate locations, ISPs, etc.

    At this point, I’d recommend getting a larger response from the community by posting in the public forums. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/
