Performance

Help yourself then. I gave you the correct answer. Staff have given you an answer as well in this thread. If you can’t tell who is staff and who isn’t, what makes you think you can tell what’s a browser problem and what’s an ISP problem?
-
How far will you stretch out? Are you so much incapable of old fashioned fault detection routines?
My browser does connect at night time and it does not at daytime. It happens with a variety of computers, with two different browsers. So it is not a browser problem.
It happens with with 3 different ISPs so it is not an ISP problem. It would appear to be a performance problem of wordpress.com’s server since it depends on the time of the day. This was the best assumption until I turned off my firewall at daytime.
Nope, your answer was wrong. The wordpress server drops the connections whenever my firewall blocks attemps of 58.2.233.72.staticreverse.ltdomains.com to access my computer. Apparently wordpress.com expects me to accept connections from a spambot.
This “update your browser” thing is either an attempt to mask plain ignorance or it is an attempt to distract from whatever the intent is when pressing forward spying attempts on my computer.
-
I’m not the one telling you to update your browser. Try reading for comprehension next time.
-
You are distracting again.
The question is about performance and by now it is about the question:
Who asked wordpress.com to bombard my computer with connection attempts from xxxx.staticreverse.ltdomains.com?
And why would the wordpress.com server drop the connection whenever I turn on my firewall to block these?
-
I just started my word press account and have server issues. I called in and they say they are aware.. It is a little annoying when you have follower to your page and it is down!
Beforeryou ask or give the same non-relevant advice to other posters
Yes I have tries several browsers!
Yes have tried other computers!
Nothing wrong with my ISP, I can surf the net download things and have my full network of devices running!Very frustrated

jamesbrewer23, who did you call? We don’t provide phone support, just a voicemail box for business inquiries.
You also have no WordPress.com blogs on your account. The blog attached to your account here is a self-hosted WordPress.org blog, which we really can’t help with.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.
WordPress.org has complete support and documentation sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress via their Codex and Support Forums.

brechbuehl, I’m not sure what levels you’re seeing to consider a “bombardment,” but Layered Tech provides one of our data centers, so by blocking staticreverse.ltdomains.com, you’ve pretty much blocked all of WordPress.com.
