Permalink change fo dummies, PLS

  Hi, I just read that I can simplify my Permalinks, but despite my best efforts to read advice I’ve found on searches, it is still too confusing. I read to look for Permalinks under settings on my dashboard, but I can’t find that link HELP

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  That can only be done in the post editor, on a post-by-post basis.

  Posts > Edit > click post title > click “Edit” next to Permalink > change > click Save > click Update Post.

  Or (faster) Posts > Edit > hover over post title > click Quick Edit > change “Slug” > click Update Post.

  Do be aware that you can only change the title portion of the permalink – the portion highlighted in the editor in yellow.

  What about ‘Pages’? I’m trying to make simple permalinks for pages that don’t look like ‘?page_id=3’ etc.

  OK. Figured it out for wordpress.com site, but still having the same problem with the wordpress.org (privately hosted) site.

  For third-party self-hosted blogs you need to go to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ which is where self-hosted blogs are supported. Self-hosted blogs and blogs hosted here at wordpress.COM are different in key ways.
