Permalink posts

So… I accidentally hit the “permalink” button on a blog post (didn’t know what it was for, actually), and presto: there was the blog post at the top of my home screen (and every post). Even my husband (a techy guy) couldn’t figure out how to de-permalink the post, so he did some finagling and rewrote code or some such, and now both the “Home” link and the errant permalinked post are both gone. Fine…except that I’m now not able to permalink posts that I do want displayed (now that I know what a permalink means). Any ideas/tips/help? Many thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is the detailed theme description page link http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/yoko/

This is the live demo site link http://yokodemo.wordpress.com/

There is no need rewrite of finagle anything here at all. You either (1) accept a theme as is, or (2) purchase an annually renewable custom design upgrade and make changes to theme appearance only (not to functionality), or (3) you choose another theme.

I’m not clear why anyone would want to remove the permalink because it is the exact address of the post in question. Will you please expand on exactly what you want to do and why?
