permalink setting not showing in dashboard.

  Hi guys.

  Under settings, I have
  General
  Writing
  Reading
  Discussion
  Media
  Sharing
  Polls
  Ratings
  AdControl
  Email Post Changes
  OpenID
  Webhooks.

  I cant find the permalink settings. Can someone help me out here? Thanks

  Hello. There are no settings to adjust permalinks in WordPress.com sites for the entire site. You can adjust the permalink on a post and page basis by selecting the edit button to the right of the listed permalink in your edit post or page screen. Any edits of the permalink for posts would be after the date.

  Hey rkoffy is there anyway to remove the date from the permalink so I can shorten the URL?

  For example:
  “dreamteam.wordpress.com/2015/09/02/why_you_need_t…”

  I want to remove the 2015/09/02, any insight?

  Not in WordPress.COM – I think there is a URL shortener built into the Edit page so you can send a link that is shorter – but the date stays – you would need to move to a WordPress.ORG install with your own host.

  A note – the permalink structure gives faster database access and is quicker to search than your preferred structure
