Permalink structure on blog migration
-
We have an existing self-hosting website. Permalink structure of the site is something like http://sitename.example.com/2017/07/my-awesome-article
Now we are going to give up self-hosted site and move the blog hosted in wordpress.com. We want to keep links to previous articles. I expected it should be easy, but I cannot find control on permalink structure on WP.com blogsites and it would be something like http://sitename.example.com/2017/07/19/my-awesome-article
Is there any recommended migration scheme on such case?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi doipfn,
I cannot find control on permalink structure on WP.com blogsites
Although it’s possible to change the slug of a post or page (for example /post-title/ on WordPress.com, there aren’t any settings for changing the structure of the permalink itself. This option is only available on self hosted WordPress.org sites.
When content is imported to WordPress.com, the importer rewrites each permalink to use our permalink structure. Although there isn’t a redirect feature for these cases, our system will try to redirect the visitor to the right place. However, it may not be accurate every time.
