  Hi,

  I moved back from self-hosted to WordPress.com. I can’t find the permalink option and this is annoying me. If I try to URL-hack my way through it I get the message that the feature is disabled.

  I guess I just wanted to voice how annoying I found this limit in WordPress.com and encourage you to find a way to enable it in a future release.

  Hi Fabrice!

  Thanks for the feedback. You’re correct in that permalink structures cannot be changed at WordPress.com. However, you can adjust the slug for posts and pages. The restriction on permalinks has to do with how WordPress.com sites are setup. You can read more about that here:

  It’s a shame. I would have preferred categories than dates but I understand that a limit of com over org…

  Yep! You would need to move to a self-hosted install to customize the permalinks. Let us know if you need anything else!
