Hello, I have a business plan and would like to remove the date from my blog permalinks, but can’t seem to find where I can access that to make a change.

Hi,
Changing the Permalink structure from the Admin Dashboard, under Settings >Permalinks, might allow you to adjust the permalinks to your liking .
You can get to the dashboard by adding
/wp-admin
to your blogs url

I don’t have a Permalinks option in my settings menu. I have Settings > General, Writing, Reading, Discussion, Media, Google Analytics, Sharing, Polls, Ratings, AdControl, Email Post Changes, OpenID, and Webhooks. I’ve been through every one of the subheads and no Permalinks option.

I don’t know why you don’t see the Permalink option so, I’m going to tag this with modlook for staff advice.

On WordPress.com sites using Business plan, the option to customise the permalink structure will only be available after the first plugin or custom theme has been added to the site — this change the activates the feature.
Until that time, you will only have the option to customise the slugs for posts, pages, categories and tags.

We have both plugins and a custom theme and have for a long time. I still can’t find the permalink editing feature. Is there a specific plugin we need or a specific custom theme?

@funeralexpert I’m not seeing that here. You are using the Business plan, but not with outside themes and plugins.
Can you try adding a simple plugin, such as Hello Dolly? You can remove it again after you’re done.
