permanent text on homepage

  I would like to have a short paragraph introducing my blog that appears at the top of my homepage every time it is opened. I am new to wordpress and aren’t sure how to do this – can you help?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You could try publishing the text as a post, then make that into a sticky post: http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts

  Hey!

  I would like achieve the same thing, but “Sticky” does not work. The post does not stay on top. Can it me a Theme problem? I’m using Koi Theme!

  This is not a theme dependent feature. If you do this correctly it should work. Do understand though that it’s a strong <.strong> that we can make “sticky” and not a page. Please post a link to the post you are having difficulty with so we can examine it.

  Here’s the post I would like to make ‘Sticky’: http://fromzerostoheroes.com/2011/05/12/welcome/

  In the “Posts” the post’s Visibility shows: “Public, Sticky”, but then I created this test post called “New Post” and it became the first post. So selecting “Sticky” didn’t work…

  Any ideas?
