Permanently deleting my website and WordPress account

    I tried to close my website and account yesterday and assumed that the process would be completed by now but I am getting this message:

    ‘We are still in the process of removing one or more of your sites. This process normally takes 15-20 minutes. Once removal is completed, you should be able to close your account from this page.

    To close this account now, contact our support team.’

    Can anyone help – I urgently need to remove this website and my account.

    Hello,

    I would like to permanently delete my wordpress website, which is still showing up as ‘yaprojects.wpcomstaging.com’ and my entire WordPress account.

    This is urgent as this is for my business and having these still active is causing confusion.

    I tried to do this yesterday and assumed that the process would be completed by now but I am getting this message:

    Hello!

    To do this, we’ll need to downgrade the site yaaprojects.wpcomstaging.com first. To downgrade the site, we must confirm that you understand:

    1. Any content (pages, posts, media, comments, etc.) added after adding outside themes and plugins will be lost.
    2. Any custom content created by plugins and themes will not be carried over.
    3. Plugins and third-party themes can no longer be used.
    4. The site will revert to using the old theme.

    Once we revert the site, you’ll be able to delete the site by following the steps here (this is not something we can do for you): https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/

    We can proceed once you’ve confirmed. Thanks!
