Permission slip for minor account

  I have been trying to contact you via a non public means as I don’t want to post email addresses here, but it seems there is no way to do so.

  I’ve created a website for my son on wordpress.com (under this account). He’s only 8 years old, but Dion (dd32) said I could contact you and that you should be able to send me a permission slip form for me to authorise the account and the logging/storage of all the basic data points that COPPA ‘protects children against being recorded’.

  Hope that makes sense and is okay! If there’s any problem with this, or I need to do anything else, please let me know. Thanks!

  Hello
  You “own” the account, and are allowing your child to add content (cool drawings btw). No extra permissions are required. If you have further concerns, you should seek legal advice from a legal professional.

  i am not a lawyer, and i don’t play one on TV!

  WordPressdotcom is intended for users age 13 and older. Users younger than that must have their parent/guardian file the consent form with WordPressdotcom. Without that permission, they are in danger of having their site suspended.
