  I’m trying to find a way to get permission to reblog a post. I know that allowing reblogging is part of the terms of service; however, it still strikes me as ethically problematic (personal viewpoint, not a dig). Kind of like putting someone as a reference without asking them. I’d like to have a way I can ask an author if I can reblog their post, yet I can find no way to get in touch with the author except through comments. Is there a way?

  It’s really up to the author to decide whether to make their direct contact information available publicly. So if they haven’t done that through their site (a contact page or form) or their user profile, etc, then it sounds like a comment is the only way.
