This will be my first time opening an account with WordPress. I am looking to do the personal plan to start my business. Once I purchase that plan and get it all set up how I want will I be able to use that specific website to sell my own merchandise? I read somewhere I would have to link it to my current website I use to sell. I do not have a current website. I was hoping with the WordPress personal plan it was a one stop shop. I could purchase my personal domain and then sell on that account. Please help me clarify. Thanks so much in advance!!!

Hiya, there are multiple ways to sell things on WordPress.com, mainly for the Premium and Business Plan if you’re interested.
You can use Simple Payments, which require either the Premium or the Business Plan: https://en.support.wordpress.com/simple-payments/
Alternatively, if you have the Business Plan, you can install a custom plugin to sell things, with the most popular being WooCommerce. The Business Plan also has access to the Store feature: https://en.support.wordpress.com/store/
Every plan can use PayPal though: https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/
Summary: https://en.support.wordpress.com/ecommerce/
To clarify, the Premium Plan doesn’t really offer any further functionality in terms of the store features. Let me know if you have any further questions! :)
