  sorry one more quick question: What does this mean:

  It says under every plan-
  Get a free custom domain name (example.com) with this plan to use for your website. Does not apply to premium domains.

  What is a Premium domain name?
  does my domain name count as Premium: http://www.smokinbird.com?

  When there is a Premium plan, Premium themes and also this mention of Premium domains I guess things can get confusing. In regards Premium domains WordPress.com seems to be referring to special domain names that aren’t available unless you pay $100s. This doesn’t apply to you as you say you have already purchased your domain name. It would have been more straightforward if you had purchased it right here at WordPress.com. But as has already been explained to you, you can use it here by upgrading to the Personal plan and then mapping your new domain to your WordPress.com site..

  I followed these steps on 123reg:2. Ask your domain provider to update your DNS settings

  This step must be completed with the company you purchased your domain from. You can contact the support department at your domain registrar for help if necessary. If you are not sure what to say, here is a sample email you can send:

  I would like to use my domain with a WordPress.com site. In order to do this, I need to point my domain’s name servers to the following:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  Remember to remove your old name servers when you add the WordPress.com name servers, or you may find that the process won’t be successful.

  How long should it take for my web address to appear as http://www.smokinbird.com???
