Personal and Corporate Slander

  Hello Everyone.

  Could someone please offer me some assistance with regards to the above noted WordPress Blog.

  The blog in question appears to have been deliberately created with the intention of targeting two fitness sites. I have no idea as to the reasoning behind this but the remarks being published on a daily basis are slanderous towards these two sites. The individual responsible for this has now started to slander a web design company as well as threatening individuals with setting up similar blogs to target them in a similar manner. Whatever the reason, this individual appears to be on a one man/woman crusade against the world via WordPress.

  I understand that there is a freedom of expression within blogs but in this case, the publisher of this blog has crossed over from creating a blog based on facts and opinion and has entered the world of inuendo, lies, and slander.

  Any help which you can offer would be most appreciated.

  This is something for staff, and it’s also something that the people supposedly being slandered would have to discuss with staff. We are just volunteers here in the forums.

  Thank you for your quick responses and for the link.
  I have passed the matter on to the staff.
  Hopefully, it will be resolved in a timely manner.

  It just boggles the mind what people try to pass off as opinion on their blog without a care in the world as to the consequences of their actions.

  Did anyone click on elitefitness? Quite frankly, I have no interest in whatever little bunfight these two are involved in, but:

  “fitness” site?

  Come on! They’re selling steroids.

  Staff won’t involve themselves in alleged slander. If you win a court case, they’ll take it down, probably. Which means, you should actually contact a lawyer. I don’t want our blogs to be at risk from the mere ACCUSATION of slander or libel.
