personal back up to Word on my PC

    I am wanting to export my blog to be able to open it on my pc in MS Word 2003. I have the XML convert from MS but when I try to open there is nothing or Word says it’ can’t open this type of file.
    I mostly want a back up on my backup drive.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    I thought I saw a thread earlier today in the forum indicating a problem with Export, which might be giving you problems.

    The XML file is just a plain text file with no special characters. Try opening your file with Notepad or another plain text editor.

    If you are on windows, get the Windows Live Writer blog editor and install it on your computer (it is free) and then it will download all your posts and save them for you. They won’t actually be in Word format, but you would have a backup.
