Personal Blog – JetPack Plugin

    I have a personal blog hosted on wordpress.com (https://heartlandgenealogy.wordpress.com/). I am trying to figure out what I need to do to make this family blog compliant with GDPR. According to what I’ve read, the JetPack plugin will make the comments section of my blog compliant.

    I have the plugin installed and it is shown as active.

    However, I can’t figure out how to configure the plugin. My dashboard doesn’t include a menu option for JetPack – even under the Settings menu. When I click on ‘Settings-Discussion’, it looks like the older page and not a new JetPack page.

    Can someone point me to directions on how to get this to work with a personal WordPress account?

    Hi there,

    Can someone point me to directions on how to get this to work with a personal WordPress account?

    There isn’t any jetpack plugin with your WordPress.com account because the Jetpack features are automatically integrated within WordPress.com. The Jetpack plugin is used to integrate WordPress.com features with a self-hosted WordPress.ORG site. Hopefully that makes sense.

    I am trying to figure out what I need to do to make this family blog compliant with GDPR.
