personal dashboard

  this is silly, but i’ve forgotten where to find my personal dashboard, not just the site’s dashboard.

  Hi there,

  I think what you’re looking for is probably just at WordPress.com after you have logged in. If not, you can try logging in to your site and going to Users >> My Profile.

  Let me know if that wasn’t what you were looking for!

  hello,

  thank you, but it wasn’t what i was looking for. i wanted to see what other users of my site see so that i can direct them toward choices. i’ll look at my husband’s laptop later to see what *he* sees.

  one man, for instance, doesn’t want to recieve email notifications of posts and comments, and can’t seem to stop them with my (admittedly lame) help. ;~)

  i just though i’d remembered finding my own dashboard once, not the site’s.

  Heya,

  If one of your subscribers would like to change if they’re getting email notifications, they can actually change that right here:

  http://wordpress.com/#!/read/edit/

  Or if they are not WordPress.com users and are just getting messages via email, they can unsubscribe by going back to your page and clicking the same “Follow” button that they had clicked in the first place to unfollow your site.

  Thank you, amighty. I suggested the Unfollow, and explained what graphics i see when i Follow, Unfollow. But i’ll sure give him that page; thank you. and yes, he has a wordpress account.

  What remedy to stopping notifications is there if a user has clicked both notification boxes under a comment box? that’s part of what i’d reckoned might show up as a choice in personal dashboards.

  Well, if absolutely all else fails, you can give me the user’s information (username or email address), and I can go in and remove him from your list of followers. We prefer to not do for a variety of reasons, however if they cannot turn off the emails then we always have that solution!

  thank you, amighty. the link seems to have done the trick. i’ll keep it handy for others.

  ihave questions about the Meta widget and what i can or can’t do with it, but i’ll save them for a day when i have more time. (the Help entry wasn’t altogether helpful on that item.)
