    Hey there @rthmpoet,

Let me say in advance that because the workings of iPage are outside of my purview, I’m not sure I can answer your question in full. That said I think the following response will help you get off to a good start!

If you would like to migrate your WordPress.com blog to iPage you’ll first need to WordPress.com’s export tool to gather all of your content. In your Customizer go to My Site → Settings and select the Export option in the Site Tools section at the bottom to download a copy of your blog’s content. The content will be delivered as a series of XML files, which will contain your posts, pages, comments, categories, tags, and references to your site’s images. For more on this process, check out the Export support page.

The next question is how iPage will accept the content, which is unfortunately outside of my area of expertise. In searching this process, most results focus on transfers between WordPress.ORG and iPage (and thus do not apply to WordPress.com).

However, I am seeing here that there is an “option to transfer the entire website including the databases and files used by the site.” Assuming the version of iPage you’re hosting still has the import feature, I wouldn’t see any reason for compatibility issues. But I can’t be certain!

Again, the compatibility of WordPress.com’s content to that the iPage platform is not well documented, so I would recommend visitingiPage support for more details.

Transfers can be a complicated process, which is why we offer a Guided Transfer service, which is a great option for people who find the migration process intimidating and would like expert help to assure an effortless transition. There is a one-time fee of $129.00 for the Guided Transfer service.

Let me know if you have other questions and we’ll go from there.

    Good luck!
    Travis
