  Hi, I am really wanting a personal favicon for my site. It seems the only way is through using an FTP client. I am fine with that but I can’t seem to find the right host, username, and password information to connect.

  If there is an easier way please let me know. Othewise, how do I retrieve this information to connect to my site. I have tried my site as the host with my own personal username and password but this didn’t work. I tried my site a bunch of different ways:
  starting with “ftp://”, “ftp.”, ending with “/”. Still no luck.

  Hey there,

  WordPress.com sites do not have FTP access.

  However, adding a favicon is pretty simple, without FTPing.

  Here are the instructions:
