Personal Info in Contact form
-
Hello, my site is mgbchoralmusic.com
I am using the free version of WordPress.comOn a test page I created, I chose “add” and selected “contact form.
It went onto the page correctly and I tested it with a couple of emails and it seems to work fine. When I’m in my site doing editing, the fields of the form are blank but when I check it on the actual site, my user name and email is displayed in the fields. Should they not be blank? Doesn’t seem like a good idea to have my user name displayed like that. I’ve included a link to the page in question.
Thank you,
Michael B……….https://mgbchoralmusic.com/side-bar-test-page/

Hi,
The contact form automatically populates with your information if you are logged into WordPress.com. If someone else is logged in and goes to your site, it will fill in their information. If you log out, the fields will be blank.
This support article explains the auto-population:
