Personal plan free custom domain name privacy cost?

  If I upgrade to the Personal WordPress.com plan it gives a free Custom Domain Name. How much does the optional privacy protection cost on the free Custom Domain Name included in the plan?

  All WordPress.com plans include a free domain credit with optional privacy protection. Privacy Protection for additional domains is a paid upgrade that costs £7.00 per year per domain registration.

  It would be a .com domain owned for several years already and transferred into WordPress.com registrar at time of upgrading to the plan.

  Would I just be paying the £36 for Personal plan and privacy is included free with the free domain, or is it going to be £36+£7?

  Hi there,

  All domain names that come with a plan offer privacy protection for free. You have the option to opt-out if you like your domain’s contact info to be public.

  If you register an additional domain on that same plan then you have to purchase the privacy protection separately.
