Personal Plan limitations
-
Hi all, are there significant limitations when having a Personal Plan when compared to others? I am finding that the placement of blocks for example, is very limiting. Also, customization seems to be limited. I would like to just move blocks around the page to where I want them but that doesn’t seem to be possible. I want to add a calendar widget to the Site Identity, but that doesn’t seem to be possible. Plus, I can’t customize the calendar at all. It might be me as I have only just moved to WordPress, but at the moment I am finding it a little frustrating.

I don’t believe the Block editor works any differently whichever plan you have. The Premium plan does give you access to custom CSS however.
As for a Calendar. are you following the instructions at: https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/calendar-widget/ -
I think this is the issue ‘Once you add the widget to your sidebar or other widget area in the Customizer, you’ll see the following widget settings’ – I can’t see how to get the widget where I want it. If I go into the Customiser it only seems to give me the option to add it to the Footer. I have been onto the Home page and added it to the bottom of the page as I can’t see anywhere else, but there are no options for making it look any different.

The Morden theme only gives the option of adding widgets to the footer. If you want a Calendar in a side bar you’d need to choose a different theme.
