Personal Plan Renewal Cost

  I would like to use WordPress to purchase a Personal Plan including a domain name and website hosting, but the renewal cost is unclear. The checkout page currently shows that the monthly rolling plan is 8GBP/mo, but only 3GBP when billed annually.

  If I do pay 36GBP for a year’s subscription, will that also be the renewal price for next year, or is it just an introductory offer which will be renewed at the full 8GBP/mo? I do see that the domain registration is only free for the first year, but was hoping for further clarification on the Personal Plan itself as the ToS and fees guide is rather vague.

  • The Personal Plan: When you choose annual billing, your subscription renews at the annual rate rather than shifting to the higher monthly cost. The monthly rate you see is only for the flexible rolling plan.
  • The Domain Name: The “Free Domain” credit applies to the first year of an annual plan. Following this period, the domain will renew at its standard registration price, which depends on your chosen extension (e.g., .com or .org).
