Personal plan upgrade

Hi there,
I am on a free plan bit am running out of storage space. I would like to upgrade to a personal plan to have additional GB to use. I am still struggling to understand this: Is it a payment for 1 year? will I jave to pay the amount every year? What happens if I want to stop this plan? Will I go back to limited storage?Would love to understand this tonmake up my decision.

Any upgraded plans on WordPress.com are based on a yearly subscription that renews automatically, so to answer your question yes, you will have to pay the same amount every year. You can decide to cancel your plan at any time if you don’t want your subscription to renew and the files that you have already uploaded won’t be deleted and will remain accessible to you but you won’t be able to upload new files until you resubscribe to the plan.
