I’m considering to upgrade from a free basic wordpress.com (free hosted) account for my blog, to a personal account (USD 4/month). Could you please help me with the following information:
1) Will I be able to insert a link for MailChimp (or any other service provider for email subscription, document downloads and other types of services) in the header/footer/sidebar (not a plugin)?
2) Will I get a free auto-generated privacy policy (in line with international and the new EU compliance 2018) to add to my site? / If not, may I copy and paste the text from https://automattic.com/privacy/, and add it to my own privacy policy page?
3) Will I be able to offer freebie downloads (e-books) in exchange of email addresses on my blog site?

We don’t have a specific ebook feature built in but PDFs can be uploaded to your Media Library and the URL can be shared on your site. Visitors will be able to view the ebook and save a copy to their computer.
