personal site..wordpress not clear until after point of purchase

    hi Spencer… I am trying to set up an account for my partner Chris Woodman. we were under the Impression (from your options) that we could purchase a personal option and use the domain woodmanworks.com to set it up… he is an artist and we just want the basics with his URL not a wordpress.com url.. once i got to the point of purchase it changed to a word press URL…so i cancelled the purchase…he is a social worker that does art on the side…the prices for the personal option work best for him… can I purchase a personal account for him that will allow him to use his domain URL woodmanworks.com? any assistance on how we can do this for $2.99 and the basics would be greatly appreciated. alternately are there any discounts you can point us to? thanks so much for your help!
