Personalized Dashboard with RSS Feed
-
Right now my website is a blog, I’ll soon be transferring it to a business account. I want to have an RSS feed for blogs/podcasts/etc. but I want people to be able to make a customized dashboard. They’ll be a member, login, be able to search for blogs and podcasts but have a personalized page of their favorites. If you need a reference, it would be like hulu.
I guess my question is two sided, if only one gets answered that’s fine. 1. Any plug ins or coding I can do for this RSS feed? 2. How can people who host the blogs have a login as well to edit their posting preferences? I guess it’s like a mutisite vendor deal, so to speak.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

All wordpress sites come with multiple builtin feeds. Read https://en.support.wordpress.com/feeds/
For podcasting read https://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/podcasting/I want people to be able to make a customized dashboard. They’ll be a member, login, be able to search for blogs and podcasts but have a personalized page of their favorites. If you need a reference, it would be like hulu.
Then you are either looking at purchasing an annually renewable Business plan upgrade https://wordpress.com/pricing or moving to self hosted wordpress http://move.wordpress.com where you will pay only for hosting.
The Business upgrade includes:
• Google analytics
• Footer Credit Options https://en.support.wordpress.com/footer-credits/
• SEO Tools https://en.support.wordpress.com/seo-tools/
• The ability to install most plugins including woocommerce and the ability to install third party themes. Please read this support doc: https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/ and https://en.support.wordpress.com/tutorials/build-a-membership-website-tutorial/

Hi there,
To have a membership-based site you’ll need a membership plugin. The WooCommerce plugin can work for that, especially if it’s paid memberships, though that’s not the only option.
I have no idea if it’s possible to make customized RSS feeds like you’re speaking of. There might be plugins to do this, but the self-hosted WordPress forums would be a better place to ask. Or even just search the plugin repository for RSS plugins.

Do note that anything that requires custom code will not be possible on a WordPress.com Business site, as we don’t offer any FTP access here, regardless of plan.
