Will my blogs be saved in one long running sequential list or can they be stored by other factors such as topic or date?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can make use of categories available on WordPress.com to categorize your blog posts based on topics. https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories/
You can also tag your blog posts to quickly reference them in the future. You can learn about it here. https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/tags/
Note that categories and tags are similar, but categories are broader than tags. This guide https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories-vs-tags/ can help you understand the differences between categories and tags between.
That being said, you can easily see the list of posts under a certain category using category pages. https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/
I hope this helps clarify things. Feel free to get back if you have questions related to WordPress.com account and WordPress.com sites and I will be keen on helping you through it!

Thanks Strikebuys. I assume these category and tag searches are also available to the reader. Being new at this I am fearful of not only making a wrong selection but also getting back out of the wrong selection. As one of my favorite character actors once sang in a song, “Its not easy being green”. Thanks again.

The WordPress.com Reader is a portal for readers to read. When you make use of tags + your content is public, your posts will be shown on your followers’ WordPress.com Reader. You can learn more about WordPress.com Reader here. https://en.support.wordpress.com/reader/
It’s also encouraged that you know about WordPress.com Discover. https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-featured-on-discover/
To quote from WordPress.com support articles, “Discover highlights the best content across WordPress, from sites hosted on WordPress.com to Jetpack-connected and self-hosted WordPress sites. It replaced the Freshly Pressed showcase in your Reader since it launched in fall 2015.”
I hope this helps clarify things. Feel free to get back if you have questions related to WordPress.com account and WordPress.com sites and I will be keen on helping you through it!
