  I want to remove the header bar altogether from my theme. I have two sites and found this to be an issue in both. In Loadstar, it wants to create a menu of pages and stick them in the top black header bar which increases in size with each addition. This then overlays the top portion of the picture being used as the featured pic on the static page.
  The same issue with twenty seventeen. Its not getting any bigger, but its too large and I can’t see any way to decrease the size or remove it.

  Hi There, Your site is currently “Private” but, just have a look if you’re menu is to, Automatically add new top-level pages to the menu.

  To change that setting you need to go to “Customize” > “Menus” > Select the menu, scroll down to “
  Automatically add new top-level pages to this menu” and see if the checkbox is selected.
  If so that might be the problem. You can customize your menu to show only the pages you want to.
