  Judging from the link associated with your codename, you’re not a WordPress.COM user — it’s actually pretty easy to tell, seeing as how it’s a business and all. You should know this is a tech forum specifically for WordPress.COM blogs.

  But if you really want to know how to “get google page rank” this would be a good place to start:

  You could use googletoolbar to identify what your pagerank is.

  I would caution against taking advice from someone on Wp.com who doesn’t even have a gravatar. That’s pretty basic interface stuff.

  I like your skeptism, but let me remind you that your concern is over shooting the domains of humanity. As far is “gravatar” is concerned, not every well wisher will have one and at the same time not everyone with a “gravatar” will be a well wisher. No offence meant.

  No offense taken; it always pays to be skeptical. We’ve had gurus floating around telling people to delete images from their Media Library because it’ll make their blogs load faster. Which it will, because all the images will be gone.

  The issue is not your intentionality, it’s your skill level. For all I know, you may have invented the internet, but an avatar, like I said, is a pretty basic component of one’s personal interface.
