  I recently took over the management of my workplace’s social media and blogs. When I went to register us on wordpress I found someone had already registered under our company name.

  Now there are two options

  a. someone within our company has registered the blog. But I have searched fairly exhaustively and can’t seem to find any evidence that a company email was used to register the blog (the company is quite small). However, if this is the case I need to find a way to access the blog so we can start using it.

  b. someone else outside the company has registered the blog. In that case we are interested in contacting this person because our name is copyrighted and cannot be used by others. However there is no information on the blog so I’m not sure how to find contact info.

  Any insight or solutions to our issues would be greatly appreciated!

  Blogs are not owned by companies or organizations or groups and one cannot copyright a blog URL. Blogs are owned by the username accounts that registered the blog.   If the blog is using your own registered trademark as their blog URL, you can report a trademark violation here:
  http://en.wordpress.com/abuse/

  Otherwise, we recommend you register a custom domain and use that for your blog:
