phantom email followers
-
Good morning. I still get mails from new email followers (1-2 per day) from @outlook.com. When I go to my email-followers list to delete them, but I cannot find any of those addresses. Meanwhile I receive your notification ‘Your stats are booming! The Letters of Robert Louis Stevenson is getting lots of traffic’! Thak you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
These follows are spam. Random outlook emails have been subscribing to sites across WordPress.com, and then unsubscribing the moment they’ve confirmed the subscription. We’re working on blocking these, but for now it’s best to ignore them.
The stats notification is unrelated. When did you get that notification? I see on 24 May you had a big spike in views, but otherwise I don’t see anything unusual in your site stats. And spike like that happen sometimes – most likely someone came across your site for the first time and spent some time looking around, reading different posts.

You are right, someone may have come across the site for the first time, so your message may simply refer to booming visits.
Each time I receive a mail from a new @outlooc.com follower, it seems that the followers number on my home page is increased by one, but the new follower doesn’t appear in the people list.
And today here is the newly arrived: (email visible only to moderators and staff), not added to the email followers list.
I’ll ignore everyone, thank you and good work!
Best wishes,
Mafalda Cipollone -
