“Phantom” link to my blog

  Yesterday my stats page showed me getting 50 hits from the following place: [Link removed to discourage spam promotion -slik]

  But when you click on that, it takes you to some weird site with no link at all to my blog. Is this spam? If it is WordPress needs to clamp down further on this crap. Not to say I didn’t like having 50 extra hits…

  There are a ton of threads about this in the forum, all under different names: it’s referrer spam, so just contact staff and tell them about it. They will delete it from your stats. The function of those spam sites links is to get you to click and check them out.
