Phising
-
Hi
I asked the provider of my theme a question regarding the theme I am using then they came back asking my the admin username and password to investigate.
No one asks for this information.
To me the response is for phishing purpose.
I dont know how I can trust wordpress and/or the theme I chose?
Company website: http://www.NovaNext.ca
is this normal? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, and yes, never give the login information for your site to anyone, and NO, it is not normal.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org have no connection to, or control over independent theme developers or service providers, so there is nothing that we can really do about this.
My suggestion would be to use a different theme. I would suggest looking through the themes at WordPress.org as they are well vetted.

I actually downloaded the theme from that link. I would love to report the theme maker and flag it as I have seen suspicious activities on my website but I dont know where to start.
Thanks

Well, about all I can suggest would be to post in the http://wordpress.org/support/ forums. They really don’t do any sort of policing of third-party theme authors, but some other there may have some suggestions. That is about all I can think of at the moment..
