don’t assume animals or birds or minerals are answering the questions, do you? lol :D

There is no phone support. This is a peer support forum where Volunteers and Staff work cooperatively together to provide support to free hosted WordPress.com bloggers. Blogger post their questions and the majority are answered by Volunteers. When Staff assistance is required we flag threads for Staff attention.

Please state exactly what it is the you need help with.

re: the front page error message
You deleted the placeholder Hello World post and that resulted in a 404 (page not found) error message will appear http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/ but as soon as you publish a post, not a page it will disappear.

Your featured images must be 888 pixels wide. The post slider automatically shows up, on the front page once you set the 888-pixel image as a featured image and designate it as a sticky post.

sorry meant no harm. Just new at this and wanted to take the easy way out and have someone over the phone help me instead of trying to find out the information online.

I don’t even know how this blog thing works either….so so sorry.

I wanted to ask how I can have a client upload a file to an ftp site. does word press offer that or do I put a link/drop box from “you send it”??

You have clients?

If you are asking about the WordPress.com blog linked to your username then there is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins into them for security reasons. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

If you are asking about a WordPress.org install you are posting to the wrong support forum and must post to http://wordpress.org instead.

It’s a new business I am starting and want my clients to sent me files so I can print them. i am creating a website that I want people to upload their files? I will try the links you gave me.

Do you know how I can put my page “Under Construction” so no one can see my unfinished website???

Are there any web designers that I could hire?

For some reason, I am no longer able to post pictures. I click on the camera/media icon and it does nothing. It does not give me an error or anything to indicate what the problem is.

please cancel my blog. It is said that this is a free service. but I was charged twice in two months. I do not use the blog. It was taken long ago. And I did everything to cancel the page. Plese make sure that I am no longer using a blog provided by wordpress. Please! Thanks.

If you are referring to a free hosted WordPress.com then note that you failed to provide the URL starting with http://

If and only if it is a free hosted WordPress.com blog that you are referring to then you can disable auto-renew here > Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades > Disable auto-renew
