Phony comments
-
I’ve received a handful of positive comments on a couple of my posts.
When I tried to reply to the commenters, NOT ONE OF THEM WAS A REAL EMAIL ADDRESS.
Twitter and Facebook engage is this low-life, dishonest, lying, cheating practice.
I closed those accounts.
Is wordpress doing it now, too?I refuse to do business with liars.
Seriously.
I want a truthful answer to this question.
Or I will close my account. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You cannot close a WordPress.com account. The good news is, the site linked to your name is not WordPress.com anyway.
Sounds to me like you’re approving, and responding to, spam. I’d advise against it.

Check the box that says “Users must be registered and logged in to comment”.
That will ensure anyone leaving a comment on your blog has verified their email address.
