when i make a text post and want to add a picture i click and upload, it then stays at 0% throughout the whole process of me writing my post and it says no photo uploaded. when i did in fact click a picture. in jpg.

Please tell let us:
(a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
(b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://www.whatbrowser.org/
(c) Exactly what you experience including what any error reports you receive state.I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

I am using a desk computer and firefox for my browser. there is no error reports or anything it just wont upload.

Sorry for the trouble. We’ve received a few reports of the media/image uploader not working correctly, and we’re still trying to pinpoint the issue here.
If you are still having issues, please let me know the following:
1) Are you uploading images via the “Add media” button or by dragging/dropping images into the post?
2) Have you tried switching to the Browser uploader option? If so, has that helped?

I used the Add photo button next to the ‘enter title here’.
I used my phone to upload the photo and save the post as a draft and then just edited it on the computer and that seemed to have worked fine so I will just use that now until you find out what’s wrong with the uploader.

To clarify:
You weren’t able to upload a photo from your phone, but you could from the computer? If that’s the case, were you using the WordPress.com app, and if so, is it the most current version?
