  I just started my wordpress blog and when I am trying to post a write up with a photo. The photo is getting displayed twice in the published page. How can I change that and have only one photo.

  Hi there.

  Congratulations on starting your blog!

  I just want to make sure I understand: do you mean that the image you inserted in The Red Precipice post seems to be displayed as both the large header image and as the smaller body image? Are you just wanting the image in the body of your post next to the text, and not have it as the large header image?

  It may be that the theme you are using is automatically using the image in the body of your post as the header image too. What theme are you using?

  There is an option called ‘Automatically use first image in post’ which will use the first image in your post as the Featured Image of your post too.

  If you click on My Site > Customize > Content Options, the ‘Automatically use first image in post’ option is the last option under Featured Images. If the box next to it is ticked then that is probably what is duplicating your images. Unticking it may be the solution.
